As the third generation of the family, Richard has been managing the business since 1996 and brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to Pelican. With a background in engineering and the highly competitive area of truck sales, he has worked in all parts of the business and continues to drive the growth of Pelican Bus & Coach.

Now in his 24th year with Pelican, Simon began his career in truck sales and currently leads our coach & truck sales division across the whole of the UK & Ireland. He is responsible for managing our team of area sales managers and ensures that our customers receive unparalleled levels of service nationwide. Beyond his professional achievements, Simon enjoys running & golf.

David is an experienced fleet industry professional specialising in safe, green and efficient fleet management having worked across the fleet industry for over 28 years. David has been at the forefront of fleet sustainability and electrification for over 18 years, and has helped 100’s of organisations develop robust environmental fleet and electrification strategies to support carbon reduction objectives. Having originally developed the Plugged in Fleets Initiative in 2012 whilst at the Energy Saving Trust for the Department for Transport and the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, this industry leading project has become the blueprint for fleet transition to electric David is routinely featured in the fleet press and has been a regular speaker for many years at fleet industry events on fleet sustainability and electric vehicles, the highlight of which is being invited to speak at the Oxford International EV Summit in 2019 and again in 2024. As an expert member of the EV working group for the British Vehicle and Rental Association and the EV committee for the Association of Fleet Professionals, David has helped steer the voice of the industry on fleet electrification. In 2023, he was awarded EV Champion and inducted into the Green Fleet EV Wall of Fame. He has also featured in the Green Fleet Most Influential Top 100 for the last 3 years As the Electric Truck Sales Manager for Pelican, he is leading the development of the Yutong eTruck sales proposition. Working with truck fleets, from small owner operators to large blue chip fleets, is supporting the building of their individual electrification transition strategies through a consultative approach

In his 33 years with Pelican, Chris has transitioned from his previous role at Seddon Atkinson sales to taking leadership of all aspects of Pelican’s aftersales and customer support operations. His extensive experience and dedication have played a pivotal role in upholding Pelican’s commitment to providing unparalleled service to our customers.

Katrina oversees all aspects of Yutong’s aftersales operations, including warranty, roadside assistance and vehicle preparation. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensure that customers receive top-notch support and service, providing peace of mind throughout their Yutong ownership experience.

With a career spanning over two decades in the commercial vehicle industry, Richard has cultivated a reputation for operational excellence, customer-centric service, and technical leadership. Richard oversees the aftersales operations for MAN trucks, ensuring that service delivery aligns with the company's commitment to quality and reliability. His role involves managing a team of skilled technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, and implementing service strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and vehicle performance. Under his leadership, the MAN division has seen improvements in service turnaround times and customer feedback scores, contributing to Pelican Engineering's broader success in the commercial vehicle sector. Richard's dedication to continuous improvement and staff development has fostered a culture of excellence within the service department. Richard's expertise is backed by a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. His commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry developments ensures that Pelican Engineering remains at the forefront of service innovation. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Richard is passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers and actively participates in training programs aimed at skill development within the industry.
